Description/Learning Outcomes:   The presentation will cover best practices in talent development and talent reviews.

Learning outcomes include: 

• The importance of defining required competencies (keep it simple!)
• The importance of documenting development goals and activities for employees
• The basic elements of a simple, straight forward talent review discussion
• Who is accountable for talent development?

Speaker Bio: Becky Coates, Organization Development Leader, Cintas Corporation

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Cintas Corporation is a Fortune 500 company that provides specialized products and services such as employee uniforms, first aid products, and fire protection systems to over one million customers that range from small auto repair shops to global hotel chains and airlines.

Becky has over twenty years of experience in human resources and leadership development. She started her career with NCR Corporation where she developed onboarding programs for new college grads and was instrumental in developing a robust executive development program. In 2007, she joined LexisNexis, a global legal software company, where she led the Learning & Development team responsible for high potential programs and all management development.

Becky joined Cintas in 2014 and is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Her team is responsible for the Cintas succession and talent review process, the performance management process, and leadership development including a 10-month high potential program, executive coaching and 360 feedback.

Becky is a graduate of Bowling Green State University.  She is married and has two adult children.
